Just a theory but when you watch an NFL game the defenders in the middle really get up in the air on blocks meaning that NFL kickers MUST get there kicks up high over the line which in turn limits there distance

In northern Virginia, Annandale defeated Westfield as Corey Edwards blocked an extra point attempt that would have sent the game into a sixth overtime. The final in five overtimes was 68-67, a score more befitting of a high school basketball game, rather than a high school football game. The 135 combined points set a Virginia state record. The game was tied at 33-33 at the end of regulation. </div></div>

    Wow - can't believe it's the 6th anniversary of that monster! </div></div>

And not only that, but that record was broken in 2006 when West Potomac defeated West Springfield 81-74 in 4 OTs.

Actually, I think the difference is in the tee. There is no tee in pro football. This affects the height and distance of the kick.
Equal time will be given for rebuttal
